Father vs. Dad
So we all know how the saying goes; "Any man can be A father but it takes a real man to be a dad." I strongly stand by this quote.There are a lot of men with a number of children, that they may or may not take care of. In the sense of being there for the important moments. The men that send a check every month feeling this is sufficient enough to take the place of their presence. Those Men are "sperm donors" as people would call them. They often time leaves this job of being a dad, either to the mother to play both the role of mom and dad. Or they leave it to another man to raise their child. In my eyes these men might as well have went to a sperm bank.
The sad thing about this is that it all becomes a cycle. Now the child without the "Dad" grows up without knowing how to be one. So either they learn the hard way or they don't learn at all. And they continue this cycle for the next generation to either follow or move forward from. Lets hope that it becomes the later we have enough deadbeat dads; to add a few more to society would be a crime all in it self.
Now that I have explained lets just say....." A sperm donor" is, let me explain what a dad is. By the way I am daddy's Lil girl ;D.
A dad is a man that cares for his family. Who loves his children and provides for them the best way he knows how. A dad is a man that is selfless and doesn't let his pride stand in the way of the love he has for his family.
A dad is a man that shows his son how to be the same type of man and better. He tells his little girls they are beautiful, so they wont have to look to another man to hear these words first. A dad is a man that makes sure is family is secure and feels his love everyday he breaths. A dad takes pride in the family he had the pleasure of creating.
I am glad to say not only have I had the pleasure of having a father but also a dad. A man that has shown me "yes I can do it all alone." And that I don't need a man to complete me but to compliment the women that I am.
To all the men out there that are taking care of their family and not letting another man step in to do the job. To all the men that are doing that other men's job. To the mothers that are playing both roles. We show you love on this day that is set aside for you. No, words cant express the gratitude we hold for the jobs that you do. But we sure hope that it gives you an idea of how we feel.
Have a safe and blessed Father's day =D!!!!
{Jaded Advice- Kiss your daughter every night and let her know that she is special- she will never look to another for these words.}
